Male : glossy black plumage with yellow crown, sides of head and throat Female like male, but yellow on head restricted to crown and to diamond-shaped patch on throat. Sides of head black. Juvenlie : head black, with yellowish white lores and throat patch; breast with faint whitish streaks.
